Praytell x Air New Zealand: Visit Tomorrow

Generate mass awareness and excitement with New York media and New Yorkers alike around the announcement of the non-stop Air New Zealand flight from JFK to Auckland.

Approach

Trigger(House worked with PR Agency Praytell to bring the power of “Tomorrow” to the bustling world of today through a limited-time immersive pop-up experience at Hudson Yards. Erected overnight, the “Visit Tomorrow” experience featured a custom-designed 40x40 structure featuring a 16’ curved LED screen with 100 high-res panels and surround sound that took visitors on a tour of New Zealand’s most jaw-dropping destinations. Sam, Air New Zealand’s virtual flight attendant, guided and welcomed New Yorkers into the experience and New Zealand Māori natives performed a powerful Kapa Haka, giving guests a warm blessing throughout the day. Additional event features included a Sky Pantry that supplied Air New Zealand amenities like flat whites and hot chocolate, and a prototype of the SkyNest—the world’s first economy class sleeping quarters.

Results

In just two days, the “Visit Tomorrow” experience saw over 6,000 guests and generated over 1.3B total media impressions across digital, broadcast, and sociai (including syndication). Coverage highlights included Food & Wine, Travel & Leisure, and CNN travel, to name a few.
