Challenge

Prove once and for all that, as stressful as trip-planning can get, booking with Hotels.com is as drama-free as it can be. Partnering up with ICF Next, Trigger(House set out to elevate a Palm Springs weekend rental, paying homage to some classic reality tv shows while stirring up a fun, engaging contest and, ultimately, pleasing one lucky winning diva.

Approach

T(H revamped a 1-acre luxury property, transforming an ordinary bedroom into a “confessional room” with the look and feel of a reality tv show. From real tv studio lighting to custom-designed videobooth technology, guests were treated as talent throughout their weekend stay. Custom-designed and fabricated pool floats, umbrellas, towels, and pillows were staged around the property to help build this world of drama and, post-trip, guests were delivered a T(H-produced highlight video of their prime-time worthy antics.

Results

The Destination Drama announcement landed coverage on Thrillist, yahoo!life, and iHeart Radio and was promoted by none other than Jersey Shore’s Snooki herself. Overall, the program earned 824+ million impressions across online, broadcast, and social media channels, making the whole activation a real success.
