Timed in conjunction with Super Bowl weekend, Ben & Jerry’s and Colin Kaepernick were looking to give back to the Tampa community through a public art mural that celebrates local youth of color and heroes the Know Your Rights Camp mission in a way that also supports local business.
In just a two-week timeframe, T(H handled all logistics for the creation of the 30’x90’ mural, including site scouting/vetting, contracting, permitting, and equipment rentals. On Super Bowl Sunday, the location was transformed into a drive-through experience where locals could pull up to view the mural and receive a complimentary family-style catered meal along with prepaid gift certificates to local independent businesses. From traffic control to catering logistics and event site planning, T(H managed all day-of operations, ensuring a successful and covid-safe community event.
Over 2,000 hot meals and 950 limited edition Colin Kaepernick-inspired ‘Change The Whirled’ pints were handed out to the Tampa community as well as gift certificates to local independent businesses in need of support. Over 338M total impressions were earned from the mural reveal and led to significant social media buzz and coverage from People, Sports Illustrated, and USA Today—among countless others. The neighborhood of Old West Tampa was very grateful for both the donations and the inspiring art, which will live on for years to come.
