Ben & Jerry’s x Clean Creatives: Carbon & Cream Truck @ SXSW

Challenge

Head down to South By Southwest in Austin, TX with partner Clean Creatives in a custom-designed Ben & Jerry’s ice cream truck that steals the show with bold messaging about green-washing. The goal is to help drive conversations around climate change and disrupt existing activations by Shell and other fossil fuel giants at one of the year’s largest celebrations of tech, film, music, education, and culture.

Approach

Trigger(House jumped on the opportunity to take the iconic Ben & Jerry’s ice cream truck branding and transform it into a powerful statement for this impactful event. T(H worked directly with the local Ben & Jerry’s franchisee and a print shop based out of Houston to complete the task in a truncated timeline—from print to installation of the eye-catching new wrap.

Results

Over 2,000 samples were distributed throughout the 3-day activation. Coverage was featured in several major online publications including Austin Eater, and countless meaningful climate change conversations were had over a scoop of Ben & Jerry’s.
