Challenge

Castello had nearly 5,000 packages of cheese that were misordered and, rather than see them go to waste, they were looking to identify a real time (within 3 weeks) and cost-efficient solution to sample their cheese to consumers in a relevant way.

Approach

After some rapid event research, Taste of Atlanta (a premier food, wine, and beer festival that allows food lovers to explore new flavors) was identified as the event to sponsor from September 25-27 2015. A simple, yet beautifully, branded and functional set-up was assembled from a combination of existing assets, quick-turn production items, and mobile refrigeration.

Results

2,952 packages of Double Crème Truffle and 1,600 of Aged Havarti—a total 4,552 packages—were sampled over the course of three days; 12,160 samples consumed / 3,910 full packages of cheese handed out with brand information. Partnered with Pretzel Crisps to provide cheese for their booth and Pretzel Crisps to dip the Double Crème Truffle cheese into at our booth, resulting in 2,000 additional VIP Tent samples.
