Support the national Pecan Resist press announcement in Washington, D.C. with a pop-up community event in the local D.C. area that features activist partners and budding young talent from within the community.
In less than 30 days, Trigger(House planned and executed a one-day community event centered around sampling the newest flavor and promoting local organizations and artists that are making a difference in the D.C. community. Hosted at an outdoor community space in the southwest Navy/Waterfront neighborhood, the event included custom activities like live screen printing of totes and posters, a tie-dye station where guests could hand-dye a 'Resist' banana, and an oversized live mural painting. Live performances and programming took place throughout the afternoon/evening and included a local middle school marching band, student slam poetry, an all-female choir, and a local DJ. Local partners included D.C. Scores, Kid Power, and the Department of Energy and Environment. Many food trucks were onsite, including Ben & Jerry’s famous sampling truck scooping out samples of Pecan Resist for all who attended.
To date, the program has generated 426 million media impressions and is considered one of the biggest social media moments for the brand within the last two years.
