BEHR: Color Trends 2019

Challenge

Create hype and buzz for the 2019 Color of the Year that inspires consumers to reimagine color and design of their homes.

Approach

In collaboration with Home Depot, Behr opened an interactive pop-up shop to celebrate the launch of it’s 2019 Color of the Year: 'Blueprint'. The pop-up store allowed visitors to see "colors in action," offering the opportunity to consult with on-site experts and explore showrooms filled with elements and accents provided by Home Depot. In addition, shoppers were instantly able to purchase items and paint colors staged throughout the showrooms via “shoppable Pinterest pins” displayed on iPads. New Yorkers were also invited to shop 'Blueprint'-inspired items created by local artisans and encouraged to take home a free sample—or a full gallon of 'Blueprint' paint.

Results

222 earned media placements, 236+ million earned media impressions, 25 national and local TV/radio interviews conducted, 20+ million potential social impressions from guests’ and media outlets’ social channels.
